This 3.9-mile trail (2850 feet of elevation gain) is the standard way up Mt. Whiteface, one of New Hampshire's Four Thousand Footers. The difficult part is close to the top, where the hiker will have to navigate three small scrambles/ledges. Pay attention to where you're going...on the first, and most difficult (IMO) scramble, you need to go up and to the left -- not straight up/to the right.
