Wildcat Ridge Trail (from Route 16 to E peak)

This 1.9 section of the Appalachian Trail (2200 feet of elevation gain) climbs up and over rock and wood steps, a ladder, steep ledges, and a chimney.  There are lovely views to be had, and there is also significant danger if this trail is wet or icy.  I feel bad for all those thru-hikers who have to do this trek with their large backpacks.

Looking back down the trail.
