Flume Slide Trail

3.3 miles with 2500 feet of elevation gain.

This is the more "interesting" way up Mt. Flume of Franconia Ridge.  Consistently long, damp, and slanted rock slabs make this trail a challenge.  The trail does not leave the trees, so exposure isn't an issue until you reach the summit area.  I wouldn't want to navigate these slabs in a downpour, though.
